- For 42 years The APEX Museum has reigned as AtlantaĆ¢??s first and oldest Black History museum. Established in 1978 and located in the heart of the historic Auburn Avenue area of Atlanta. Since our inception, the APEX Museum has served Metro Atlanta schools, area residents, and visitors from all 50 states and more than 50 foreign countries.
