I had been a devoted customer for seven years until a woman pharmacist that I had never seen there until the pasted six or eight months is working there! I use to like using madison ave. until now! when she is there the whole atmosphere changes from the way I been accustom; to every month I go to my Doctor's office come back by the store wait on my refills that only take a few min. But with this woman who has never failed to say; you'll have to come back in a day or two "or we don't carry your medicine! I am shocked at how rude she is and how the store changes! I have health problems and a fixed income which makes it hard to run back over there over one day; it's like she has a problem with me. She the only one there that has ever been this way with me. One of the few small non chain pharmacies remaining anywhere. Same person owns Crawfords in Cleveland Tn. The pharmacists and pharmacy techs, along with those people who mind the front of the store, are all helpful and courteous. They actually act as if they appreciate your business and wish for your return. You are known by your name rather than your phone number or SS number. I have been the only person in a chain store and still it took me 45 minutes to get my script filled. That scenerio would never pplay itself out at Madison Avenue even if their computers were down. I have actually been on the receiving end of an honest mistake they in which they gave me numerous pills too many of a highly controlled drug. The type of mistake that could easily happened. They contacted me once they learned of their mistake and asked me if I would mind returning the excess, knowing I was not required to do so. But the type of people they are made it a no brainer for me to comply with their wishes.
