The Daily Post Athenian has served the news and advertising needs of Athens, Tenn., for more than 150 years. It is one of the oldest businesses in continuous operation in McMinn County and the second-oldest newspaper in the state of Tennessee. The paper is published every afternoon, Monday through Friday, and provides comprehensive news coverage in McMinn and Meigs counties. The Post-Athenian has 55 employees, including an advertising staff of 8 sales representatives who are able to design and implement an advertising program. The paper features sections on the news, lifestyle, sports, classifieds, obituaries, entertainment and shopping.
