Delicioso! Yes, Virginia, there is Cuban food in Georgia!



First, make sure to have cash or your checkbook with you as Cali-N-Tito's does not accept credit or debit cards. Second, I hope you're hungry because the portions are HUGE. I had an amazing Cuban fried rice with chicken and fried plantains, most of which I had to take home and have for breakfast the next day. Really terrific. My son had a Cuban sandwich, which he devoured and my husband the fish tacos.



The decor is really fun and very casual - sort of beach bum extraordinaire. It reminds me of a lot of Mexican joints down in Baja. It's also a very kid friendly place as they have a playground and boats sunk into the ground that kids can "steer" and play on.



This is not a place to come when the weather's bad, so if you're jones for Cuban style food (not super authentic but tasty so you don't mind) get your order to go.



I've heard you can BYOB, though there is a fee. And they have all kinds of crazy soda flavors, like pineapple as well as the usual Coke and Fanta products. Great prices, too. Can't wait for it to cool down a bit to go back!

I highly recommend this place. It's eviornment is friendly and tropical unlike any other place in Athens. It's Latin food is some of the best I've tasted.You have to try it!
