Even as a law student, Attorney Anthony K.C. Fong, Esq. found great success in helping individuals with immigration problems. While attending New York Law School, Anthony was a clinician for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York. There, he prepared successful motions with the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), also known as Immigration Court, to help individuals terminate removal proceedings. It was at this time that Anthony realized that he could actually make a significant impact in another person's life, which further drove his ambitions in becoming an Immigration Attorney. At Catholic Charities, Anthony also prepared successful petitions with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Whether it be motions or petitions, Immigration Court or Immigration Agency, Anthony represents all of his clients with the same fervor towards winning their case. Before going out on his own, Anthony continued to master his skills in Immigration Law by clerking at a private firm. This calculated move allowed him to continue his success in motions and petitions but also allowed him to add, among other experience, extensive waiver and appeals practice to his repertoire. There, he honed his craft by participating in cases at various legal stages with a plethora of unique circumstances. Some of Anthony's experiences include preparing and assisting in drafting documents such as FOIA requests, visa petitions, asylum applications, motions to the USCIS and the Immigration Court, requests for joint motions to reopen removal proceedings for the Office of Chief Counsel of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (US ICE), and petitions for review as well as the accompanying briefs for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
