Fresh Start is a warm and welcoming organic specialty store that keeps me going back for their unusual delicious cookies. All are baked fresh with spelt flour, imagine that! Curry chocolate chip is my fav. There soups and salads are always changing and never fail to satisfy me. Glad when I get off the train, so I can pass by on my way home.

I loved this spot. The food was delicious and really fresh. I was surprised of the selection they offered for the size of the store. The service was slower then what I am used too. But the staff let me now ahead of time, that it would take a few minutes...they joked around that Organic is Slow Food not Fast Food...I thought that was sweet and smart...It was worth the wait...Everything was made on the spot, nothing was prepared before hand.. The desserts rock. I highly recommend it, wish they would expand and open one in my neighborhood, Downtown Brooklyn.. hint, hint!!!!!

I love shopping there. The staff is very helpful with answering questions and hearing my concerns..i recommend the desserts..especially the brown rice pudding. its vegan and sugar free. it rocks!!!!
