Established in 1859, the Hanover Academy s campus features a gym and computer laboratory. The academy serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. It offers classes for language and fine arts, mathematics, science, social studies, computer technology and foreign language. Its early child development programs provide participation in art projects and puppet shows. The Hanover Academy also offers various extracurricular school activities that include dance, sports and recycling programs. The academy provides several student clubs, such as computer, chess, drama, handbell and book. Its summer programs organize field trips and events, including moonwalks, theater drama, swimming and roller skating. In addition, the academy offers a range of food items that includes milk, carrots, hot dogs, green beans and pears. The Hanover Academy is located in Ashland, Va.
