0I like how active the owner is in the store. The employees and owner are always on the same page which makes going here easier. I always find what I need the selection is great.

I love how knowledgeable the staff is at Main Street Wine & Spirits when I come in to buy new beer or wines.

The staff at Main Street Wine & Spirits are so helpful and friendly. I really like going there because they know their wines and products.

I can not think of any new items I would like them to carry. They have a great selection and a large variety available to their customers.

I drive out of my way to go here rather than other places. It's just a friendly and customer service orientated experience, they always can help me find what I need and the pricing is great.

Its a really great time whenever you walk into Main Street Wine & Spirits. The staff is always friendly and showing you around. And they always have new stuff to try which I love.
This store has a wide variety of liquors and wines. For over 30 years I have been coming here. The staff is always nice and very helpful. The prices are good as well, and I really enjoy coming here. Dick B.

- Main Street Wine & Spirits has been family owned and operated since 1919 close to 90 years. "We've been here a long time, " says owner Bill Goldberg. "We'll be here as long as you are." In 1919, John Goldberg and his brother-in-law bought a little market in a building next door to the current location. They did business at this location for 32 years. In 1949, a fire burned down the building next to this original store. After the fire, John then bought this property ( their current location ) and built a new, much larger, store, which they moved into in 1951, and they've been there ever since. After serving in the Army, John's twin sons Marvin and Allan took over the store when John retired in the 1960s. They expanded the building roughly 25% but started focusing on spirits, as supermarkets started to supplant the local markets for food and grocery items. Marvin's son Bill, the current owner, says, "I grew up here in the store, and I've been full time since 1985. There's no better teacher than experience." Bill values his customers and enjoys having the day-to-day contact. There's a neighborhood feeling when you walk in, which comes from generations of connecting with the Ashland community.
