I tried calling this place for a cab at 1230 am which is well before the bars let out. The first time I called someone answered but when I told them where I was going the hung up. I was only going 8 miles from the center of downtown Asheville. When I called back thinking I may have lost signal on my phone they told me no cabs were available and hung up again. Do not use this cab company unless you have absolutely no other options.

I was charged 5 dollars over the meter because we used a van, without any notice before we started our cab ride. Now, the five dollars is not the issue. The fact that they charged us over the meter without telling us before we used the cab was the issue. I called the company when I got home to verify that it was legitimate charge, and not just the cab driver trying to jip us out of money. The supervisor, Jeffery, proceeded to tell me that it was legitimate charge. I suggested that there be something in the cab telling the passengers that it would be an additional charge. And his response was that "you can always use another cab company ma'am". I plan on it! I have never been so disrespected by a place that I frequently give my business to in my life. I plan on never giving my business to Yellow Cab in Asheville, NC (Beaver Lake) but also never in other areas I may inhabit.

We used this companies service's all week during our stay in Asheville. All the driver's we had were very nice. We especially liked David, we asked for him most the time for our cab ride's when we could get him. Asheville is a great town, we will visit again soon!

Just as a word of friendly advice, if you are planning on using this company to get home after 1:00 am, you'd better have a backup plan. I called them twice. The first time they said they would be there to pick me up shortly.



20 minutes later, I called again and they claimed someon must have grabbed my cab because one had been dispatched. That did not happen, because I was standing at the location when I made the first call and no cab ever came. Still, they said they would dispatch another one. It, of course, never came either. As a result I had to call a friend at 2 in the morning to pick me up and drive me home.



The only reason I gave this company 2 stars instead of 1 is because the cab that picked me up at home to take me out was on time and the driver was very friendly. In fact it was he who said to leave at 1 o'clock to ensure getting a cab before the clubs and bars all let out.



If you have any means of alternative transportation, by all means use it. These guys are just too unreliable.
