First and most important, see the medical board’s reviews of Dr. Burch. Even after he’s warned and reprimanded as “impaired to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety”, then it gets worse. He’s cited as a “danger to the public” and suspended. Ongoing cocaine and alcohol and methamphetamine abuse, illegally writing prescriptions for controlled substances and putting patients in danger, and more. Violent criminal guilty convictions for assault, stalking, threats (yes, the crimes also involving drugs) on multiple occasions, terrorizing and devastating his victim and family for more than three years, and then just abandoning his patients. My own experience is that Dr. William A. Burch is not a very good ob-gyn. My visits with him were mostly unpleasant and not very professional. He is a mediocre doctor at best. He seems full of himself; based on checking his background, he has no reason to be. It’s like even on his better days, it’s fake smiles and friendliness and he acts like he knows what he’s doing, until you ask questions or voice your opinion about anything. Then he’s defensive flustered testy and bad-tempered. There should be a category for negative stars because Dr. Burch has done plenty to merit a very negative rating.
