Founded about 50 years ago, Trout Unlimited is an organization that conserves, protects and restores North America's trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. With one of its offices located in Arlington, Va., the organization operates about 400 chapters from Maine to Montana and Alaska. It performs fishery restoration work at the local, state and national levels across the United States. Trout Unlimited also operates the Headwaters Youth Education Initiative, which conducts youth conservation camps/academics; five rivers college outreach, boy scout fly fishing merit badge and first cast programs as well as youth education initiatives.
