Chartered by Congress in 1978, NCB was privatized in 1981 as a cooperative, and today is owned by more than 1,800 of its member-customers. The bank provides a variety of personal banking products and services, including financing, checking, savings and online banking. It also offers business services including credit lines, commercial financing, real estate financing, checking, savings and cash management. In addition to helping cooperatives and other member-owned organizations through its nonprofit affiliate NCB Development Corporation, it delivers community services to support affordable assisted living, affordable housing, economic development, health care, education and disability efforts.
