The Halogenated Solvents Industry Alliance, Inc (HSIA ) was formed in 1980 by a group of executives in the chlorinated solvents industry to meet the growing challenges of government regulation. HSIA is dedicated to serving the interests of the halogenated solvents industry - interests that include solvent equipment manufacturers, and producers, distributors, and commercial users of halogenated solvents. Our success since 1980 is the result of the active support and participation of companies in the halogenated solvents industry. By working together, the halogenated solvents industry and HSIA can both protect industry interests and promote the safe and responsible use of chlorinated solvents. From its office in Washington, D.C., HSIA represents companies that manufacture, distribute, and use:
