Founded in 1929, Gibbs & Cox Inc. is an independent engineering and design firm that specializes in naval architecture, marine engineering and design, management support and consulting engineering. More than 200 naval vessels designed by the firm are now in service around the world. Gibbs & Cox provides services to agencies including the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The company is headquartered in Arlington, Va., and operates additional offices in New York; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia, Penn.; Hampton, Va.; and Brunswick, Maine.
