After extensive research of all windshield repair systems available we invested in the highly superior GT Technology Maxim Prism System. Any other systems are outdated and inferior. Old-fashioned methods used by most technicians rely on a vacuum principal that extracts the air through resin placed before a vacuum is applied. This usually results in a weak repair that does not look any better than it did before the repair, worse yet this inferior repair can never be fixed. Placing resin into the damaged area before the vacuum cycle is inefficient because air must move through a barrier of resin in order to be extracted from the break. This method reduced the amount of trapped air extracted, which is visible after the repair is made. Unfortunately this 1970’s technology is still widely used today. Our repairs are the finest possible because we utilize a DRY VACUUM process, which allows air to be extracted from the break during a vacuum cycle before resin is applied to the glass surface. The Maxim System holds the resin in a separate side chamber while a dry vacuum is applied. The result is a vacuum cycle with direct air-to-air exchange with the break, allowing trapped air to be removed efficiently resulting in a superior repair.
