I had rave reviews about the speed and quality of service about this shop, so I decided to try it. Worst mistake ever. Not only did I text a photo of what I wanted, I showed and asked her about the specifics of the hair style several more times before we started and was assured it could be done. Needless to say 4 1/2 hrs later I was sorely disappointed and not just my head from the too tight braids in which I also told her about. Needless to say the style looked noting like the photo and the bun she placed on top of my head looked a hot mess and then she tried to place a net over it like it was supposed to actually be there, and I would actually wear that out in public. Her work was sloppy and not neat at all. Will forever go back Mariam Braids in Mesquite, regardless of what part of town I'm in. Was supposed to had taken 2 hrs, was there all day. I wish I had most definitely read the reviews first.

NEVER GO THERE THEY BRAID EXTREMELY TIGHT NO REGAURD FOR YOUR EDGES THE PRICES CHANGE WHEN CALLING OVER VS GOING IN . A FEW OF MY BRAIDS CAME OUT THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL DONT EVEN BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IT NEVER STARTS ON TIME THE AREA OVER THERE IS JUST TERRBILE . I AM NOT THE TYPE OF PERSON TO TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE A REVIEW SO IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE TAKE HEED AND SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSE WHERE

I would never go back to them again after my last experience they did my hair 3 times & they did exactly what i wanted only once. They tell you 1 price over the phone & when you get there it's a whole different price. The customer service is bad they need to learn how to treat their clients. Everything is so unprofessional and whenever i call to set up a time i arrive & she is always doing some else's hair pushing back my scheduled time. When she does exactly what you want it's beautiful but i don't have time for that.

This place should not get any stars. I went in to get my two daughters and my hair braided on Aug 23rd. she quoted me 130 over the phone but raised the price when i got there. by the 27th my daughter had about 4 braids fall out but by the 29th of aug I had ten or so braids that had come out. I called her to let her know she said bring theM back and she would fix it. Cool or so i thought. By Sunday we had well over twenty braids tht had come out she tried to give a bunch of excuses on why they fell out but none stood. she say the next time you come i will give discount i will never Go back everyday i had 2or 3 braids fall out (EACK KID). they are completely loose and look like i had them 2-3 months and its barely 3 weeks. im pissed over $500 and the braids continue to fall out. I live near lewisville and traveling to Arlington everyday is not ok for me so NEVER NEVER NEVER come here she is a rip off and had the nerve to say after 4 days she dont understand why im mad when i brought a handful (30) braids back to her to put back in. not to mention this shop is NASTY dont believe the website pics they are nasty nasty nasty i knew then i should have left i thought since it was evening maybe i would give them the benefit but after people left they did not even clean up after the client they just went to the next im so mad i could throw my tire in her window like that commercial. NEVER COME HERE

WORST PLACE EVER!!! i WAS TOLD $160-180 OVER THE PHONE FOR A SPECIFIC STYLE AND 3-4 HOURS BECAUSE THERE WERE GOING TO BE MORE THAN ONE PERSON ON MY HAIR. WHEN I GOT UP THERE THRY CHANGED THE PRICE TO $250 WHICH WAS VERY COMMON THEY WERE TELLING EVERYONE ONE PRICE THEN ANOTHER WHEN THEY REACHED. I ASKED FOR BOX BRAIDS ONE GIRL STARTED PUTTING CORNROWS IN THE BACK OF MY HAIR AND I DIDNT LEAVE UNTIL 9 HOURS LATER. UTTERLY DISSAPOINTED I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN AND ADVISE YOU TO DO THE SAME.

This was a great experience!!! Went in not really knowing what we wanted but the result is fabulous!! I couldn't have asked for anything better. They got what I envisioned right off the bat and they're very warm and welcoming. I got great service and a fabulous new hair style in four hours!!!!! Wonderful!!! I will definitely be a returning customer!

Well I made the best decision by stopping by NULOOK... They got me in and out.. I love my hair.. And they where very nice

Worse hair braiding experience I ever had. They had two people in my head braids where different sizes. Also my hair looked very nappy after not even a month and I spent all that damn money. When I removed my braids my hair was matted up from whatever was used while braiding my hair. I am very furious with NuLook I would not recommend them!

They have great customer service. And are very nice people. Also get customers in and out.
