Dr. J.P. Hood has been practicing medicine in a family-friendly environment for over 30 years. His mission has and continues to be to offer excellent health care treatment in a fun, casual environment, focusing on relationships with his patients to help them achieve the best possible health and lifestyle. Dr. Hood is a native Oklahoman. He was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State university earning a degree in Zoology. Dr. Hood taught school and worked in industry for several years. He entered the Oklahoma College Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated in 1985. He finished his post graduate studies at the Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. Dr. Hood was a captain in the Army Reserves. Dr. Hood is constantly upgrading his medical credentials, is currently board-certified in Family Medicine and is associated with several medical societies. Dr. Hood has one philosophy in medicine, Treat your patients as you would like to be treated yourself.

You walk in and they greet you with pleasure. Then they get you back to a room and it doesn’t ever take very long for the Doctor to come in and he is amazing at what he does . He knows how to Communicate to where you can understand and is willing to answer any questions you have stupid or not . They are great .

Dr. Hood has been my Doctor for over 20 years. He has always been very attentive and professional. I would recommend him to anyone that wants a Doctor that will listen, and most of all help get you the care that you need.

It was Awesome! Went in for prescription refill checkup, discovered abnormal blood pressure issues. Referred me to a cardiologist. Another great doctor.
I have seen Dr. Hood and his team for over 20 years. He has taken great care of me and family. He caring and thoughtful treating both the symptoms and their root causes. His staff are all very kind, and helpful. With all the patients they see, they still remember me every time I come in. They add that personal touch and feel you used to get when visiting a doctor's office.

I never have any issues. The staff is very nice. The Nurse Practitioner is great.
I used the online check in and waited oitside in my car because thats what the online told me to do, and it said someone would come get me. Well finally someone from the office called to see if i was still coming to tje appointment. I told them that i was outside waiting in the car. I wasn't aware that this office does not use it yet, It was explained to me that it doesn't fit with them yet.
So that was time wasted.
