I received a Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas Tech University where I also completed my dietetic internship. With my background working in diverse environments such as cancer clinics, sports nutrition, outpatient clinics, geriatric and pediatric communities, diabetes centers, as well as ICU/CCU acute care, I have provided individualized nutrition care and counseling to an array of clients from elder adults to children. I believe in health at every age, every stage, and every day. My hope is to transition away from the diet mentality and onto intuitive eating for a long-term solution to healthy weights and happy hearts. “Life is a balance,” and this is something I live by both in and out of the kitchen. I do not believe in diets because life is not about tailoring your options to a specific set of foods. It is about satisfying your needs and wants using your knowledge and understanding of food to make the best choices.
