- Oral Cancer ScreeningDental Cleanings and Exams – You should schedule a dental checkup about every six months to stay ahead of oral health problems. We perform thorough cleanings and exams to make sure your teeth and gums are clean and your mouth stays healthy. During your exams, we’ll perform cancer screenings and take full periodontal measurements to maintain your dental and overall health.
- Teeth CleaningYou can keep gums from receding by taking good care of them. Avoid behaviors that can cause gums to recede, including smoking and overly vigorous brushing. Brush (gently) and floss every day, and see us every six months for a dental cleaning. If we detect any signs of gum disease, we’ll treat it with a procedure called scaling and root planing that will prevent it from progressing to an advanced stage.
- Fluoride TreatmentIt all depends on the type of treatment you receive during your appointment. If our dental team has applied fluoride treatments to your teeth, you’ll want to wait at least 30 minutes before you eat. Otherwise, there’s no reason to wait at all! However, many people prefer to wait awhile since their teeth and gums may feel a bit sensitive after their cleaning.
- Dental SealantsWe may also recommend preventive treatments, like fluoride varnishes or dental sealants, to help you prevent tooth decay and cavities between your regular visits to our Arlington dental office.
- FillingsAt Fielder Park Dental, most of the fillings we place are metal-free, tooth-colored composite fillings that blend in naturally with the rest of your smile. We also offer traditional amalgam fillings that are silver. We’ll help you determine which type of tooth filling will work better for your situation.
- VeneersWhen your smile is tired and worn out, suffering from chips, stains, and general wear and tear, there’s no better way to liven it up than with dental veneers in Arlington. Our dentists at Fielder Park Dental can use these thin shells to help you...
- CrownsCrown Lengthening – If you have teeth that appear too short, we can gently remove excess gum tissue to allow more of the crown (white part) of your teeth to show.
- BridgesStandard Fixed Bridge – This type of bridge is designed to anchor on either end to your natural teeth. It will have one or more replacement teeth in the middle and will span the empty space left by missing teeth. Eating will be more comfortable, plus you’ll have a natural-looking restoration that you’ll be proud to show off.
- Dental BondingTooth Bonding – For a less costly alternative to veneers, our dentists can apply layers of tooth-colored resin to your teeth.

- Oral SurgeryAt Fielder Park Dental, we make oral surgery comfortable by obtaining good local anesthesia with Novocaine, and what we call enteral sedation, which is basically taking a tablet, that's more like a sleeping pill, or a tranquilizer. If we absolutely need to, well, we have nitrous oxide, of course. And if we absolutely need to, we can have IV sedation.

- OrthodonticsSince then, we're avid continuing education participants. We go above and beyond what the state requires every year in order to be able to provide care for our patients. I've done continuing education in orthodontics, in implant dentistry, pinhole surgery, which is a gum rejuvenation treatment. I just always feel like there's some way that we can be better at what we do, and so I think education's the key to that.
