- Medical Weight Loss® will not accomplish weight loss. Diet and exercise as directed by one’s physician is the best way to lose unwanted pounds.
- Urinary IncontinenceThese technologies have been in use for many years, decades, for rehabilitation after injury or surgery. In addition, muscle stimulation has been shown to improve rectus diastasis, or separation of the abdominal muscles, as well as help firm up pelvic muscles and improve urinary incontinence in women following childbirth. EM SCULPT® is the first electromagnetic device for building muscle and body sculpting by stimulating muscle contractions. EM SCULPT® is FDA cleared to treat 5 body areas including the abdomen, buttocks, legs, arms and pelvic muscles. Typically, 4 treatments are scheduled over about 2 weeks. People then decide if they want any maintenance treatments based upon how they are feeling. Improvement continues weeks after a series of treatments, so it takes a month or 2 to determine the results of a treatment series. EM SCULPT® treatments usually take approximately 30 minutes. truSculpt® flex uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions directly and treats multiple areas at once as does EM SCULPT®. The treatments take 45 minutes and stimulate multiple muscle contractions in a way that cannot be accomplished via exercise. truSculpt® flex treatments are also usually administered in a series of 4 treatments over a couple of weeks with programs for prepping, toning and sculpting which alter the muscle stimulation to achieve different results. Treatments are customized to the individual being treated, as are maintenance treatment regimens.
- Labor and Delivery® device is FDA-cleared for treating 5 muscle groups including: the abdomen, buttocks, arms, legs and pelvic floor. EMSCULPT® has been shown to improve separation of the abdominal muscles, rectus diastasis, as well as stress incontinence which is often brought on by childbirth. This novel non-invasive treatment is the FIRST device designed to build muscle for body sculpting.
- Botox® has been safely used by millions of men and women who want facial rejuvenation without surgery. A few tiny injections can treat moderate to severe lines and wrinkles around the eyes, “smoker’s lines” above the lip, an aging forehead/brow area and even neck banding. Botox
- LiposuctionStubborn, excess areas of fat bother many people, and are hard to get rid of. The ‘love handles’ on the sides of our abdomens are particularly difficult to remove even with diet and exercise. In the past, the only option to remove these was with liposuction in which a hollow tube, or cannula, is inserted underneath the skin to suction out excess fat. This works well but is invasive and requires a relatively long recovery time.

- DermabrasionKim has also worked at Esthetica Salon and Spa in Northfield New Jersey for seven years, administering many novel treatments including a unique peel developed by Dr. Bernstein, which Kim introduced in southern New Jersey. Kim is one of the premier practitioners in the country to use the Vibraderm micro-dermabrasion unit, and has developed novel ways of enhancing penetration of various topical agents for the treatment of hyper-pigmentation, melasma and skin aging. We are proud to have Kim join our practice in Pennsylvania, traveling a great distance to serve our patients from her home in Egg Harbor, NJ.
- Cosmetic DermatologyDr. Bernstein is Director of Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology and is often among the first in the world to gain access to the latest laser technologies.
- Skin CancerFreckles come from sun-damage, the same thing that causes skin cancer. It’s important to see a dermatologist once a year (or more) to look for skin cancer. Dermatologists can help distinguish between freckles and other marks and skin cancer.
- DermatologyPrior to joining Main Line Center for Laser Surgery, Dr. Lee served as Director of the Laser and Cosmetics Unit at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated cumma sum laude from Northwestern University with a BA in Molecular Biology. Afterwards, she matriculated at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. She did her dermatology residency training at Brown University, during which she served as Chief Resident. After residency, she completed a prestigious photomedicine, laser and cosmetic fellowship with Dr. R. Rox Anderson at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her extensive training serves as a foundation for her aesthetic eye and systematic approach.
- Acne TreatmentDr. Bernstein performed a landmark study with the at-home Tria Hair Removal laser system, and has worked extensively with this leader in home laser technologies. Dr. Bernstein has also been a consultant and advisor to Tria for their novel Blue Light for at home acne treatment.
- EczemaIf scars become thickened as keloids or hypertrophic scars, scars must be flattened by corticosteroid injections to reduce the inflammation in a scar and flatten it. Normally when using corticosteroids to treat various skin conditions like eczema or allergic contact dermatitis, such as poison-ivy, we try to limit their use to prevent skin thinning or atrophy. This is precisely the affect we are looking for when we treat scars with injected corticosteroid medicine.
- LesionsIn addition, to her above experience, Lisa was among the first people in the country to use the Serenity-Pro system from Candela Corporation. She has expertise in using four different hair-removal lasers currently at Main Line Center for Laser Surgery, enabling treatment of all skin and hair types. In addition, Lisa has expertise at using a myriad of laser for rejuvenation of sun-damaged skin and for treating vascular lesions. We are proud to claim Lisa as an integral part of the Main Line Center for Laser Surgery.
- Chemical PeelsBecause of her experience and excellent cosmetic results, Dr. Lee has been asked to lecture and teach internationally, including in Brazil, Scotland and Vietnam. Dr. Lee’s cutting-edge expertise with injectables (Botox and fillers), chemical peels, and laser technologies is reflected in the >100 publications she has authored in the peer-reviewed literature.
- Skin CareMs. Ehrlich has published articles on skin care and has spoken on television, radio and at seminars throughout the U.S.A. and South America. Her intensive research in product formulations and development have made her a leader in skin care technologies.

- Physical TherapyNo way. The best results are seen in people who are already doing what they can to get and stay in shape and use muscle toning to deliver what exercise can’t. That’s not saying it won’t help people who exercise little if at all, as these treatments evolved from the physical therapy space where people who can’t exercise post-operatively. Still, it’s best to exercise AND get muscle toning treatments for that extra boost.
