Founded in 1966, ORC Industries offers employment opportunities and social services to hundreds of people with disabilities. The company is best known for making apparel for the United States armed forces, but it also serves other customers. Based in La Crosse, Wis., ORC Industries has three additional facilities, including a location in Arcadia, Wis. Originally constructed in 1978, the Arcadia facility has expanded to 19,000 square feet. More than 85 percent of the employees at this facility have disabilities. Its operations include assembly, light assembly operations and sewing. ORC Industries Arcadia plant also has a training division where employees can learn new skills to be used on the job.
