This company is a rip off. You do not get what you pay for, they are so cheep no matter who you are you get 3.7 meg for 4 you get 7.6 megs for 8 and you get .80 up upload. When they know they can do 16mgs. My Internet bill is more then my Water bill and Elc bill combine. there staff is a joke in Arab AL. This is only he Tip of them too.

how come when ever I call after. hours I Don't get anyone for a problem and leave my address nobody calls back

I have to pay $76/month for 4 mbps internet (and yes phone but that is forced not wanted) the last 2 reviews are fake...or have limited knowledge of other isp...it takes several days to DL one average size file, with nothing else running. My speeds show around .37 mbps when tested on the Xbox one that's Ethernet connected...I have been waiting on a tech to call back for over a month, which is better than the first tech who yelled at me and told me millions (lmfao MILLIONS haha ha good one) of other people weren't having problems so it must be something I did or my equipment (which was otelco's that was provided) then put me on infinite hold. I just called again feeling I shouldn't have to pay when I didn't get anything close to 4 mbps this month and was told that the CSR would check and call me back, lol. They advertise 12 mbps but can only provide up to 4 mbps to a majority of homes and we have no other options b/c they outright monopolize the area outside of the city limits.

very good field techs, customer service has always been polite when called and I have got quick service

I don't know where the other two reviewers live but I live in Arab. I have had phone and internet with Otelco for a number of years now. I have no complaints with either. Just upgraded to 4meg Wi Fi too. My service is always good, customer service always connects me with my local office and tech support is great. I do not pay $50 for internet either. For phone and internet before upgrading I paid $56.59 a month. I guess the good service they are looking for is perfect and that doesn't exist.

Worst customer service ever!!! You can never get anyone at your local office! Every time I call I get the call center and they tell me I need to speak with the local office, but they can't transfer me and there is a different excuse evertime. They will tell u that someone will call u back but so far that's never happen!!

This telephone service is nothing more than a monopoly that charges outrages prices. Needs some competition. But the local government protects them, they get kickbacks I guess. Charges $50 a month for internet access at 256k speed. Might as well stick a gun to our heads and rob us.
