Great fun place to bring guests from out of town. The Mining Camp is located on the west side of the Superstition foothills. The short drive going east from Apache Junction and Mesa takes you back in time. Take in the rough terrrain, the squirrely footpaths and trails, the saguaro, and the big sky above you. It's easy to imagine the year is 1900 with prospectors and settlers stopping by the Mining Camp for supper and conversation. I'd be willing to bet that the food at the Mining Camp is a thousand percent better today than the average meal would have been in the late 1800's. So pack up the family and give yourself to the great old-fashioned decor, the long family-style tables, the way your food is served, and what is probably one of the best souvenir gift shops in Arizona. Oh, and come hungry!
