Mr. Garcia had multiple noises with the vehicle and the timing chain noise was the only obvious noise and it was discussed in detail with Mr. Garcia. The less notable noise found after repair was a completely different noise. This was investigated by Consumer Affairs with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and our repairs were found to be legitimate and neccessary. We were not cited nor reprimanded in any way. Though we were not at fault, we did additional repairs for the customer that the van needed in excess of $1000 dollars at no charge, and gave an additional $350 dollar credit to the customer as a goodwill gesture to Mr. Garcia. Once a vehicle attains a higher mileage, the chances it may need repairs becomes greater. We understand in these tough times that paying for repairs can be a hardship. But trying to hold someone else responsible for repairs that are needed for your vehicle is wrong. We are an honest business with honest employees here in the service dept. and in the shop and hold an impeccable record to reflect that over the years.
