Established in 1987, Smithy Company is one of the leaders in premium benchtop machine tools in Michigan. The firm offers tools, such as computer numerical control (CNC) mills/ lathe, control/ software, granite combo, gear drive lathes/ mills and accessories. It specializes in designing and building machine tools for small shop manufacturing applications. Some of the company s projects include a program to design a special machine tool for the US military through an engineering subcontract with General Dynamics Corporation.
