Its detention division provides safe, secure and humane detention of people. The office s administrative division handles the recruitment and selection of personnel. Anderson County Sheriff's Office prepares annual budgets and maintains incident reports, as well as issues uniforms and related equipment to individuals. It operates a training facility for the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. The office also operates a uniform patrol division that has more than 70 sworn officers.
