Reardon Auditorium was established in 1983 and is named after the second president of Anderson University, Robert H. Reardon. It is situated inside the campus of the university that is located on more than 100-acres of wooded land in Anderson, Ind. The auditorium seats up to 2,200 people for theatrical and musical productions, and is the location where the university holds chapel twice a week during the academic year. Throughout the academic year, Reardon Auditorium hosts several concerts, including the annual Anderson University s production of Candles and Carols. In addition, the auditorium serves as the site for a number of conferences throughout the year. The lobby of the auditorium hosts various events, including meetings and wedding receptions. The light sculpture in the lobby, was designed by Shirley Montgomery, wife of the auditorium s architect, Ken Montgomery.
