When you come from out of town for care at the Providence Alaska Medical Center, the Walter J. and Ermalee Hickel House offers an alternative to booking a hotel room. We keep our room rates low, so patients and families have an affordable place to spend the night. Guest rooms available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To check our availability, please call 907-212-4100. Please note: We are not a medical facility. Guests must be able to walk or use a wheelchair and care for themselves.

stayed here for an emergency and every one was so nice even the housekeepers were nice , its not a regular hotel but a guest house and the guests are encouraged to assist in keeping it clean. i thank god for this place it was there when i needed it ,, and the price is exellent,, compared to the 200 plus in the summer.

dirty and falling apart. the staff are not helpful and actually rude. if you are paying out of pocket, for a few dollars more, you can stay at the Aspen suites 2 miles up the road. its a shame, the place was probably a decent place at one time, but lack of upkeep has turned it into a dump.
