The Disability Law Center of Alaska is an independent nonprofit organization that provides legal advocacy services for people with disabilities in Alaska. The center responds to complaints of abuse, neglect and denial of rights. It provides self-advocacy training and education for consumers, family members, service delivery professionals and constituency groups. The Disability Law Center of Alaska organizes workshops and distributes materials on legal rights and public benefits. The center disseminates current legal rights information by presenting agency publications to service providers, coalitions, school districts and consumer advocacy groups.
