Established in 1896, International Union of Operating Engineers is trade union, which primarily represents operating engineers. Based in Anaheim, Calif., the group represents heavy equipment operators, mechanics and surveyors in the construction industry as well as nurses and other health industry workers throughout the United States and Canada. The union offers various state-of-the-art training and apprenticeship programs. International Union of Operating Engineers addresses several legislative and political affairs, including infrastructure investments, prevailing wages, health care, worker safety, training, pensions and retirement.
