similar experience.....

I was looking to enroll my son I'm karate lessons. It was my first time in the facility and I was similarly greeted with the ,"Don't step on my mat!" Very rude and I left very upset. My son was heart broken because he really wanted lessons so I had my husband take him to try it. We ended letting him take lessons for a few months. He didn't learn anything and it was pretty much a waste of money. I should have listened to my first impression and kept walking.....

I went to the school to meet the instructor. Not only was he rude and arrogant. He assumed he knew what i knew. Being a practitioner studying in a japan for over a year. I have freinds that have black belts in his style. i knew many instructors. This Guy may or may not know his stuff but what I do know he needs a lesson in humanity. School was well kept. and he was well dressed. Office looked nice good polish. But all that crashes to halt when a person assumes they know what you know and never seen you a day in his life and was not friendly or hospitable. in fact the man was so close I could not properly bow. I came in and saw him in his DOjo and stopped at the door. Like a drill instructor in the Marines He yelled "Don't steep on MY floor!" then briskly walked up to me trying to be overbearing and trying to be intimidating. I would Find another instructor that knows HIs or her stuff and manners of the code of humanity and the martial arts.
