Founded in 1923, the Lahey Clinic Medical Center is a physician-led, nonprofit organization that offers a variety of health care services and treatments. It is owned and operated by the Lahey Clinic Foundation. The Lahey Clinic Medical Center provides primary care and community-based services to patients throughout Massachusetts. Its location in Burlington in Massachusetts houses an ambulatory care center that serves more than 3,000 patients daily and includes a 300-plus-bed hospital. The center also provides outpatient and emergency and trauma care services through various locations. The Lahey Clinic Medical Center operates a cerebrovascular disease center that specializes in the treatment of strokes and brain aneurysms. Its specialties additionally includes cardiology, pediatrics, cancer, diabetes and family medicine.
