The Becoming Center, operational since October 1994, is a community health and wellness facility located in Ambler, PA. This unique center, within Artman Lutheran Home, exemplifies its mission of "graceful and successful aging". The Center was created to offer an alternative to the health care industry's reactive and disease-oriented approach to healthcare by taking the lead in offering, in one facility, preventive healthcare services and programs which address the "whole person. We provide supplemental Support and access to Courses related to Health and Wellness such as Arthritis Club The Arthritis Club meets monthly to provide education, emotional support, and promote awareness and understanding of the rheumatic disease. This group meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 11:30am to 1:00 pm. Course in Miracles This is an on-going group study based on the work of Columbia University Professors, Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford. Forgiveness, oneness, and connectedness are discussed. Bereavement Group This is a series of sessions designed for people who have lost someone through sudden or anticipated death. Through understanding of the grief process, the mutual support of group members and the compassion and direction of professionals, participants will begin the healing and recovery process. Fall and spring sessions offered.
