I ordered rare mesquite grilled prime rib. First, it is important to mention the PR is $18.99, and the portion is about 20 OUNCES and it was Smoked for many hours. The service was very friendly and fast, but not rushed. The leftovers will last three more meals. This is a real redneck Texas diner/bar, so (really) do not take the kids. The owner told me that rare PR was only available very early, because it is smoked. Unexpectedly you can see the grill marks on a whole side of the cut. That means it was warmed on the grill after cooking and cutting; depending on your taste and cooking preference, that may be good or bad for you. I was emphatically told the beef was choice when I suggested it may be select. That took bold truthful emotion from him. Maybe the last straw happened when I said it was "a little tougher than I expected." The owner/manager(?) politely excused himself at that point. My beer was $2. This is a great item for locals, and a great hidden 16 table tavern for locals.
