I have been eating at Pollo Tropical since the first one in Miami. Now in Georgia, I was thrilled when one opened about 40 minutes away in Lawrenceville. Today, Aug. 21, 2013 we ate at the brand new one in Alpharetta, what a disappointment! The chicken was dried, they had no mojo for the yuca, the tostones were soaked in oil and so hard, they were impossible to eat. I blamed it on a new establishment getting it's flow. What I can't believe, is the lack of dedication of the table runners. The lady kept calling "I need a runner" there were two seating, one playing on his phone and the other talking on his phone. The one playing ignored the call over and over again and the others one walked outside and stayed out talking to someone on a pickup. The one playing moved to a booth by the window and even ignored the young woman calling and signaling with her hand. There was a young man who didn't stop one minute, from clearing tables to serving customers. I asked him his name, Doug, I commended him for his responsible behavior and asked for a comment card. He said his manager might have them, but he was nowhere to be found. Guess what, when we left there was a man all dressed in black at the back of the restaurant by a car on the phone, maybe that was the manager, I don't know, but I truly hope they get this under control, I LOVE POLLO TROPICAL!
