General Info: Earth Products is a family business that dates back three generations. Shannon and Mark Deveau took over from Shannon's father in 2000. The company sells stone, mulch, gravel and similar materials. Shannon has branched out to sell more decorative wares such as glazed pots, willow chairs and birdbaths. You'll find decorative wares in a new building, which Shannon refitted with cypress planking on the walls, three types of stone on the floors and a covered porch. Mark and Shannon believe that the key to their business is the detailed advice that they can offer their customers. Customers also value their quality products and timely deliveries. Earth Products offers classes, project guides and help in finding an installer or contractor. Shannon's grandfather opened the original business as Williams Nursery in 1952. In 1985, Shannon's father changed the name and focus of the business, moving from plants to hardscapes. A store in Pensacola bears the same name, because "My dad's idea of retirement was to open a new business in Florida, " Shannon told the Atlanta Journal Constitution, with a laugh.
