The George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute (GEM-EMI) is a hospital-based training center that is accredited to teach American Heart Association certification courses, pre-hospital education including EMT certification program, Co-AEMSP-accredited Paramedic programs, as well as trauma education for physicians and nurses though the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Trauma Nurses, and the Emergency Nurses Association. ,
