Established in 1974, D.L. Rountree Elementary School is a part of the Allen Independent School District. The school, located in Allen, Texas, offers classes in English, math, science, language arts and social studies. It serves approximately 500 students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. D.L. Rountree Elementary School provides English as a Second Language and Title 1 programs. The school has a library and media center houses more than 9,000 books for classroom instruction. It also offers instruction in physical education, art and music. D.L. Rountree Elementary School s parent-teacher association organizes various programs and activities for parents, teachers and students. The school organizes family literacy nights, PTA meetings, parties and social events.
