Come experience fun and extraordinary dining at the Grill House and the Rock located 2 miles south of Allegan, Michigan at 1071 Highway M-40. Discover the best that dining out has to offer at The Grill House, where you become the Grillmaster. The grill is hot and the choice steaks are ready to sizzle. All you need to do is have some fun and perhaps show off your talents at our 8′ x 10′ grill. Don’t worry if you are not an expert grillmaster. A grill assistant is always available to lend advice if needed. The Grill House selections include 6 different steak cuts, shrimp, tuna, chicken and kabobs. All entrees come with the house salad, potato, our signature baked beans, sauteed onions, and Texas toast. The Rock, on our lower level, offers a menu that includes appetizers, sandwiches, basket meals, salads, and house made desserts. The cozy atmosphere features the original rock walls and timbers, a brick floor, and a large fireplace. Visited the Grill House on Saturday the 28th of August, wanted to check it out for a future motorcycle group ride. The food and atmosphere is wonderful, great menu selection and the out door seating is great, the inside is more formal but casual attire is the standard. The bad news is the wait staff, the girl that waited on us was distant at best and seemed put off by requests to have drinks refilled, and you will have to ask. That said, the trip will most likely be made as the ride combined with good food is worth the risk of another roll of the dice on a bad waitress/waiter.
Excellent Steaks, food, and atmosphere. You can eat upstairs and grill your own hand picked steak, or eat off the menu in the Rock Bottom Grill downstairs. Smaller meals for most part, but cheaper also. Good selections of beer. Would eat here more often if not so costly.
