Virginia Theological Seminary is a seminary of the Episcopal Church and is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. It offers various degree programs in divinity, theological studies, Christian education, ministry development and educational leadership. The seminary also offers study programs in arts in Christian education, Anglican studies and theology. It has a staff of more than 25 full-time faculty members and over 80 field education associates. The seminary has a library that offers a collection of more than 8,000 books on Christian education and related fields, over 200,000 catalog items and nearly 2,000 videos. Virginia Theological Seminary, founded in 1823, is located in Alexandria, Va.
