Founded in 1969, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists is an international professional association that represents consultants and senior citizens health care pharmacists, as well as provides leadership development, educational and advocacy services. It funds a range of apprenticeship and research programs in long-term care and geriatric health care. The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists conducts Fleetwood Project Research Initiative, a project to quantify the impact of organization s services in improving treatment outcomes and reducing health care costs. It offers various resources for the advancement of research and practice for senior care pharmacy. Additionally, the association also organizes various meetings, educational seminars, conferences and training sessions for students and industrial employees.
