I have been goin there since Dina Clevenson stated doing this on her own in 1994. When Dina became a mom and had fewer hours I went through several of the trerapists there until I experienced Andrea R. I have lived all over the country and have many wonderful therapists, including Dina. Then I started seeing Andrea quite a few years ago and haven't looked back. She listens to you, listens to your body and works her magic. If you've never experienced a therapeutic massage before I highly recommend anyone at AM...but especially recommend Andrea. Liz R

Sandy Levy has helped me more than I can tell. I have had a chronic problem for years but it was Sandy who helped me understand how to manage it and taught me how to stretch at home. A monthly appointment with Sandy, Dina or one of the other therapists has enabled me to do anything and everything I want.

Alexandria Myotherapy has been instrumental in my success as a competitive masters middle distance runner for the past 9 years. With all the stress that workouts and races put on my body, the therapists at Alexandria Myotherapy have taken excellent care of my body to position me for peak performances. From advanced stretching techniques to deep massage to work out kinks, Alexandria Myotherapy is a critical member of my team.Steve NearmanM48, Middle Distance
I have been a client of AlexandriaMyotherapy for at least 6 years and can highlyrecommend their services. AES
When I am asked by a colleague, patient or friend for a recommendation for myotherapy my automatic response is Alexandria Myotherapy. For the past twenty years their work is consistant, reliable, knowledgable and caring. The skilled staff has grown over time, to include a rich variety of techniques and practices of bodywork. I am a yoga teacher - with a focus in wellness and tranquility - and I have been going to Alexandria Myotherapy since 2000 for my "maintenance" massages ... and to "fix" a sore muscle on occasion ... or to relieve a tense neck and/or anxiety. I was referred to them by another yoga teacher, a mentor, who had far more experience than I, in life and in yoga. Joanne sent me to Dina and to Sandy in those early days when I first started teaching yoga classes, and I have rarely strayed from their care; they are always professional and accommodating. There are many teachers to choose from these days at Alexandria Myotherapy, and many special offerings; and yes, you will surely find someone who soothes your body, your mind, your needs.Jane K. Lopez, RYT. Teaching in Old Town Alexandria and at Carlyle.

The therapists at Alexandria Myotherapy are professional and well-trained. I have been a client of Alexandria Myotherapy for a number of years and am much more comfortable as a result of their treatments. I had suffered from terrible shoulder and neck pain that would not resolve with therapy from others until I began to go to Alexandria Myotherapy. I have happily recommended their services to friends and colleagues. They are first rate.
I highly recommend Alexandria Myotherapy to all of my patients as the staff at Alexandria Myotherapy is dedicated to using therapeutic massage to heal many chronic and acute conditions. Each of the staff members pride themselves on being the best they can be and strive to keep abreast in their field. I know my patients will be in good hands when I refer to Alexandria Myotherapy.

I have been a client of Alexandria Myotherapy since 2004, after I had surgery for a nerve entrapment. The massage therapists there are top notch professionals, as well as being extremely compassionate toward people in chronic pain (such as myself). I cannot recommend them highly enough. Whether you are simply looking for a way to de-stress, or if you are battling a horribly debilitating pain condition, the therapists at Alexandria Myotherapy provide wonderfully helpful assistance. In particular, Sandy Levy, the co-owner, is a phenomenally intuitive, compassionate therapist. If she weren't such a great massage therapist, she could function as a counselor. She will listen to your tales of woe while she works on you with her thumbs and elbows. Pain generates depression and Sandy is great at alleviating both.Give Alexandria Myotherapy a call and schedule a massage today. You will not regret it, I guarantee you.
