Located in Alexandria, La., Renaissance Home for Youth is a nonprofit organization that provides juvenile support services for children. It is operated by the board of directors and advisors of Community Receiving Home. The organization offers shelter care and aftercare services. It also provides medical assessment, individual and family counseling and group therapy services. The organization additionally offers sexual and drug abuse counseling, as well as behavior management and educational services. Renaissance Home for Youth also participates in the National Runaway Switchboard program, which provides shelter care for children in need. The organization also provides suicide prevention, employment placement, recreational activities and independent living skill development programs. It is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Social Services and is accredited by the American Correctional Association.
