PLEASE listen to my story, before you buy a car from these liars and crooks. A friend I have known for years came from Arkansas to my home in Ball, la just to buy me a car. I was so shocked, I cried the entire day. She took me to Joel's Auto Sales on Coliseum Blvd. When we arrived, she told Levi that she wanted to buy me a car that did not need need any repairs. She knew I could not pay for any repairs. Levi showed us a couple of cars, but when we drove them, we new their were problems. H told us not to worry, but she would need to spend more money to get a car that was dependable. He showed us a 2015 Hyundai Elantra. When we drove it, we realized there were 3 items that we were concerned about..1) A fog light was out, 2) The protective shield under bottom of car was rubbing on passenger side wheel, 3) The oil light was in for the entire test drive. Before my friend signed contract, she made sure those items would be fixed. Levi agreed to fix them, if she signed title. He keot car all day, the following week and fixed fog light. He took car to M&M Hyundai the next week to get other items fixed. When he found out the price of $1,600.00 to fix oil pump, he started lying to me. When I called to check on status of repairs, was told by Joel Auto that Hyundai dealer was running behind on repairs, then was told Hyundai dealer had ordered part and was gonna be a few days, then was told Hyundai dealer was screwing him around on price to fix, so car had been taken to Tyler Texas to fix. I was furious that they sent my car out of state without consulting me, but it just didn't add up. I called M&M Hyundai and they said they had not heard from Joel's to give permission to fix car, AND that car was still there. WOW! The lies and deceit were unbelievable! They gave me a loaner car after 2 weeks, supposedly to drive while my car was being repaired (knowing all along my car was not being repaired). When I finally talked to owner, he said he was not going to pay for repairs (that Levi agreed to pay) AND they did not give out loaner cars (even though Levi gave me one). The owner, Joel said he would look at sales agreement and talk to Levi, he promised to get back with me that night. it's been 4 days. I brought loaner car next day, but no word from Joel. So what should have been a great day for me, my friend buying me a car..because of Joel's Auto Sales, has turned into a nightmare! It's been 1 month and I still don't have a car to drive. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I will contact the Deceptive Trade Practices of Louisiana tomorrow, and will contact a lawyer who deals with the lemon law. PLEASE, PLEASE listen to me...DO NOT BUY A CAR from these people.
