As a multiple car loan holder with Evangeline Bank I was extrememly disappointed with the experience I received in regards to being approved for a home loan. Rhonda Ruppolli "Vice President of home mortgages." Ultimately received the WORST case experience giver for making people feel welcome. Buying a new home is not a comfortable feeling. Especially when you haven't ever done it before. She was rude and snooty. I felt no positive connection whatsoever. Perhaps she wasn't interested in my 150k. It was pretty obvious she thought she was better than. I took my business to BancorpSouth on Jackson St. with Heather Sellers. Who must I say gave me a wonderful welcoming experience. I will NEVER step foot in an Evangeline Bank again. And its a shame I have spent thousands of dollars here.

Today I went to Evangeline Bank with my son. Who was requesting a Title loan on his car that he owns. His request was for only half of the value of the vehicle- because we knew before we walked in that he had a bankruptcy in his recent years, I suggested he try to get a secured small loan to help build his credit back. He was not surprised that they turned him down, and neither was I, but was hoping he could either get the loan or advice on how to start to rebuild his credit. What we received was astonishing to me. A gentleman at the Jackson St. Branch called him in his office and told him (loudly) with the door open that even the president of the company could not approve a loan for him. He proceeded to repeat this 3 times while we were In His office. I'm not sure why someone would have such low regard for a customer or even another human being. I don't know why I didn't address this at the time. Wether I didn't want him to feel worse because he is almost 30 would it make him feel even worse that his mom was taking up for him at that moment. I now realize that nothing could make you feel worse than this man did. A simple no, thank you for coming in or if you do this list of things we may be able to help you later. I did speak to the Manager of the Bank, but really feel like this gentleman must have gotten away with this type of behavior before. Not being a young man I can only assume that he has been here for a while, and should be ashamed of his actions today.
