Landscaping and Fencing

• Landscaping
  An external works contract which included the Construction of a new adoptable access road with additional 75 permeable parking spaces for teachers and visitors. 3500m2 of block paved and paved hard standings including 800m2 of ‘priora’ paving adjacent to tree protection areas. New 1500m2 tarmac playground including 200m2 of coloured soft play areas and construction of new play equipment. 2000m2 permeable tarmac tennis courts, 3000m2 synthetic turf sports pitch. Landscaping to over 6000m2 including nature walk and pond.
• Fencing
  Incorporating an existing road diversion with drainage kerbing and tarmac surfacing, thermoplastic lining and installation of Armco barriers, security fencing, high pressure fire main diversions with associated concrete thrust blocks and testing, cut & fill excavation over site, placing and levelling of new track blast to lay 800m of new track, forming concrete access strips to either side and between the new tracks with over 20,000m2 of new block paving, profiling of surrounding area.
• Excavation
  Wilson Construction were responsible for the ground works to the new drainage channel and barrier system to a section of the A130. Works included the excavation and formation for the new slip-form channel, construction of manholes and drainage connections, reinstatement of tarmac carriageway. The importance to complete the works within the client’s tight program were paramount. The road was re-opened to a dual carriageway 1 week ahead of schedule.
• Retaining Walls
  Due to the location and local bus routes all works were completed under tight traffic restrictions with close working with highways, a lane on busy Muswell hill had to be closed throughout the construction works.

Exterior

• Window Installation/Replacement
  Wilson Construction project managed this project. The contract consisted of two main operations. The first part of the contract was the construction of a steel framed extension to an existing sheet metal cutting factory. The 500m2 extension was constructed on a piled beam foundation, new drainage systems were installed and a new concrete hard standing and access road (1000m2+) was constructed. The steel frame was clad with a kingspan composite panel system with matching roof and roof lights. The second part of the contract was to re-clad the adjoining building and large adjacent factory, in total over 5000m2 of new cladding installed. In addition new windows and doors were installed.
