Sandra Alexander started Sandia Pet Products in 1990 as a combination of her love for pets and sewing. Starting with one industrial machine, she was the designer, sewer, and salesperson. Her initial customer base was the local pet shops and groomers in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The focus of the company remains the independent shops that rely on unique products, great service, and love for animals as the foundation of their business. From the beginning, Sandra provided her customers with a wide variety of styles, colors, and trim patterns for collars, harnesses, and leashes, allowing the independent shop to offer items not available in the big, discount stores. As Sandia Pet Products has grown to encompass a national and international customer base, the emphasis on color variety and the latest trim patterns remains unchanged. The product line has expanded to include ferret products, portable water bowls, and several specialty collars and leashes for dogs and cats. Sandras personal goal is to offer the industrys highest quality products, the fastest delivery, and the best customer service at a highly competitive price. Sandia Pet Products has now experienced over 30 years of uninterrupted growth, while Sandra remains personally involved in the day-to-day operation of the business. All products are proudly Made in USA under Sandras direct supervision. Her personal experience with every aspect of the business ensures that quality standards are strictly adhered to. Sandra is keenly aware that the success of Sandia Pet Products is the direct result of the success of our customers in providing unique products at great prices to pet lovers everywhere.
