The University of New Mexico Student Union operates as a division of student affairs. It employs more than 70 students and features a computer laboratory that has scanners, printers and free Internet access for students. The union also maintains a fitness center that includes treadmills, free weights, and a stair stepper and bike machine. The University of New Mexico Student Union operates a facility that hosts various meetings, conferences, weddings and receptions. It features over 20 meeting rooms and a nearly 11,000-square-foot ballroom. The union additionally operates a full-service audio visual department and has a variety of on-site dining options.
