General Info
Dr. Barazani earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was also honored with the Alfred Schwartz Award for Pathology. He served his internal medicine residency at University Hospital Stony Brook, NY. He continued his training as associate physician at The Rockefeller University Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology in NY, where he completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship before completing his dermatology residency at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Barazani has conducted research work on skin disorders and wound healing, with his findings published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and other peer-reviewed medical journals. He was one of the first physicians on Long Island to perform cosmetic Botox treatments in 1996. He is recognized by Botox Cosmetic as a member of the National Education Faculty, an honor limited to very few physicians nationwide. Dr. Barazani has a clinical interest in scar treatments, using various lasers, fillers and other innovative modalities to reduce the appearance of scarring. Dr. Barazani has been a member of Advanced Dermatology and the Center for Laser and Cosmetic Surgery since 1994. His patient philosophy is to treat patients the way he himself expects to be treated at a doctor's office: with courtesy, honesty and respect. Dr. Barazani donates his expertise in the form of dermatological services and procedures to local charities. An avid music fan, he enjoys playing classical piano in his free time and boasts an iTunes library of over 14,000 songs, primarily R&B and Jazz.

This time was my annual screening for skin cancer because I've had basal cell carcinoma.
Dr. Barazani is extremely knowledgeable, patient, caring and attentive. He is by far the best dermatologist I have ever seen!
I went to have the above treatment. While waiting in the office, I had a sudden recurrence of bleeding from a tiny skin break that occurred at home that morning. The staff took great care of the situation that included having the site cauterized by Dr. Barrazani.
