JD's Parrotlet's, Lovebirds & other Handfed Mini Parrots was started when a quality breeder specializing in small Handfed birds and parrots could not be found. We wanted people to be able to buy their pet birds and supplies from a local breeder that cares about the animals they sell and that is knowledgeable about them. Quality and correct answers to questions and a lifetime of aftercare help was an essential service we wanted to be able to provide. We have a strong belief that customer service does not stop after the sale after all we are providing you a new family member not just a bird in a cage. We encourage questions and invite people to see the parents whenever possible. We feed and sell the highest quality products that we can ind and blend our own Premium Seed Mix read about it on the products and services page "what we sell is what we feed ". All our pet birds are close banded and handfed, we start this process earlier then many other aviaries because we don't want out babies to see humans when they first open their eyes. We also take it one step further and don't allow our babies to sit together in the brooder avoiding any chance of them bonding with each other while growing up. This takes more work but we know it is worth it at the end of the day with the quality of our babies and know you will see a difference. All our babies are played with daily and know how to step up and give kisses. They are very comfortable around children, cats, dogs and even vacuums.
